not sure if anyone got back to you on this, but last i used 64 bit on 
codewarrior (approx a year ago), it was for ints, and the data type was 
"long long" (blech). may have also required a checkbox item in the prefs 
panel to enable support for them.

fwiw, support seemed lousy, however.. things ran pretty slowly for me. 
of course i may have been doing something dumb.
