I'm finally wading through the fixes of the last months, trying to
improve the ChangeLog files (to get acquainted with the recent
changes) and similar things.  I will also try to apply the many, many
small patches sent to the list recently.

If somebody wants to commit to the CVS please drop a note to this list
before actually doing it to avoid parallel updates.
