accents in AdobeSansMM

It appears to me that the accents in AdobeSansMM aren't placed
properly (i.e., shifted to the left). Especially ugly is `i
circumflex'. (The same effect can be seen with AdobeSerifMM but not
so heavy.)
BTW, the two MM files of Linux Acrobat 4.0 are accompanied with *.MMM
files (of type PFM, as can be found in the file `AdobeFont.lst') -- is
it possible that these files do the correct positioning of accents?
Or is this a bug in the handling of MM fonts?
