Hi Jeffrin,
I can connect to your system through reverse ssh and gdb the problem. Tell me a comfortable time, lets connect.
In the mean time you can comment out two lines in [/usr/share/freetalk/init.scm] by inserting ";" in the front, just like below. See if debug module is causing it. 

(use-modules (ice-9 rdelim))
; (use-modules (ice-9 debugger)) 
(use-modules (ice-9 format))
; (debug-enable 'backtrace)


I think you also know how to use gdb. You can set break points and narrow down 
which
function is causing the problem. You can also attach to the PID of freetalk 
when it
hangs and type 'bt'.
