Hi Alexander,

GNU Freetalk 3.0 requires GNU Guile 1.8 or higher. Thanks for
reporting. I have added checks for 1.8 or higher in configure.ac now.

Lot of useful GNU Guile 1.6 APIs are deprecated currently. So it was
not worth supporting 1.6 any more.
