Hi Ian,
I am about to complete ACPI/SPMI probing functionality for GNU
FreeIPMI entirely from user-space. No dev-acpi driver. Now you can
concentrate on finishing PEF subsystem.
Do you know of any tool or emacs extension that can auto-generate C
function documentation. Some thing like
/*******************************************************************************
*
* FUNCTION:
* ipmi_acpi_get_acpi_table_descriptor
*
* PARAMETERS:
* obj_acpi_rsdp_descriptor - RSDP descriptor table
* obj_acpi_table_header - ACPI table header
* obj_acpi_table_descriptor - ACPI table data initialized to length
* mentioned in the header
*
* RETURN:
* A return value of 0 means success. ACPI table descriptor is
* returned through obj_acpi_table_descriptor parameter.
*
* DESCRIPTION:
* Get an entire ACPI table with support to allow the host OS to
* replace the table with a newer version (table override.)
*
******************************************************************************/
Even if it generates a template instead of generic documentation,
thats enough. We can manually document in detail as and when we find
time.
