Hello,
We are using Fluidsynth 1.0.9 in an iPhone app, and it works really nicely. We
are planning to distribute the application, but since Fluidsynth is LGPL and
dynamic libraries can not be shipped in iPhone applications, we wanted to make
sure how.
Would it be ok if we proced as follows:
- mention that we use Fluidsynth in the 'about' section
- add a link to http://fluidsynth.org
- include a copy of the LGPL license in the package
The text in the 'about' section would go like:
--
Fluidsynth, used in the SamplePlay objects, is licensed under the GNU Library
General Public License, Version 2. The full version of this license is included
in the file LGPL2 and is available online at:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/lgpl-2.0.html
Fluidsynth is available at:
http://fluidsynth.org
--
Would that be enough for us to distribute the statically linked binary? Is
there anything else we should do? We would be really glad to include
Fluidsynth.
Thanks,
piem
