I think this could be what we know as ticket #1, see
http://fluidsynth.resonance.org/trac/ticket/1
Perhaps you can workaround it by inserting a midi router rule that
filters out noteoff events. Fluidsynth has support for this, but I don't
know how to do that in QSynth, if at all possible.
