Hello Josh and Others,
I'm creating a mouse-driven virtual midi controller which, upon
certain mouse events (mouse-overs), triggers fluidsynth samples
(note-ons). Ideally I wish to have each note fade over time, the way
a guitar string's volume fades after it is plucked. I would like this
to be true even for samples which are set to loop continuously.
My current solution is to employ a right-mouse click which will, over
time, reduce the master gain to 0 and then reset. Is there a better
solution, a way to fade out each note automatically given a specific
duration?
Thank you for much for fluidsynth and related work.
Marc
