Just a little note: There also is the cross-platform [fluid~] external
for Pd and Max by Larry Troxler and me. As we both don't use Max, we
never compiled it for Max, and compilation can be a bit tricky,
because you first need to compile Thomas Grill's flext library, which
was used to achieve the cross-platformness. The fluid~ source code is
available at the Pd sourceforge repository (pure-data.sf.net) in the
directory externals/footils/fluid
