I am not exactly sure, what the soft-sphere potential is, but it seams, that it
is not strong enough to prevent the particle from bumping into the wall. (The
error message comes as soon as a particle has crossed the plane of the
constraint).
Try something harder, either with a larger prefactor or some repulsive
Lennard-Jones.
