[ESPResSo] install problem of Espresso

hello,

i am running Ubuntu 8.04 operating system, and i have installation problem of Espresso when executing the command "configure" on ActiveTcl: 'invalid command name "configure"'.
is it a problem related to the version of Linux I am using, which version of Linux do you suggest to use?
