Hello,
I'm using erc 5.3 in emacs 23.0.50. When erc-kill-buffer-on-part is
t, killing a channel buffer causes erc to disconnect from the server.
I was able to duplicate the problem in `emacs -q', as follows:
run `emacs -q'
do `M-x erc' and accept defaults to connect
join two chanels
kill one buffer. still connected. no problem.
rejoin the second channel
do `M-: (setq erc-kill-buffer-on-part t)'
kill one buffer. no longer connected.
Hope this helps,
Thank you,
John Foerch
