I could be missing the point with this suggestion, but what about
setting `planner-multi-separator' to ") ("?  That way a task with
multiple plan pages will look like:

#A   _ Document URL's available in links {{Tasks:433}} (EmacsWikiPlans) 
(AnotherCategory) (YetAnotherCategory)
