I noticed something slightly weird also when the year rolled over.
Killing the 2005.01.01 buffer and running M-x plan seemed to do the
trick.  The problem (an empty buffer) hasn't happened again.

If that error happens again, could you go to the plan page, do C-h v
emacs-wiki-file-alist, and email me (or the list) the results?
