Hi Andrea,

Thanks for bringing this up. I'm also interested in including Ivy as a 
core package, pre-configured

in a no-surprise way. If the maintainers want to proceed, I'd be happy 
to iron out the small annoyances that prevent it

from being a drop-in replacement of e.g. ido-mode.
