As I said, I don't want to introduce a major mode for this tiny
problem.  It's gross.

As for other things, I'm not sure that they matter (no one complained
about them yet), and I'm not sure we have a good idea of what exactly
does that entail.  If there's someone who wants to do the research and
suggest what, if anything, could or should be done for those other
files differently from emacs-lisp-mode, I'd welcome that, and we could
then talk about the best soltion(s).
