Did you take the survey, btw? I don't find an entry for dired-aux in
the survey. May be you should.
If dired-aux is seeded, may be more people may vote for it.
A _good way to think_ about dired-x is this:
Not all people use dired. Of those who do, dired-x is invariable on.
ps: dired-x is around 33% of users.
