One advantage of micro-init files is that it would discourage the use of 1. Monolithic init files. "Micro" is just pieces that you assemble on your own. Pull in stuff you want not the whole crap kind of thing. 2. Use of "Org" file as an init file. It is problematic in practice. http://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=10125
