In my humble opinion, the critics are right here.I don't switch to new applications if their key bindings conflict with my Emacs neurons. When I tried Eclipse, I quickly found the option to set Emacs key bindings and turned them on. I was extremely irritated wherever it didn't match Emacs.
Just as Eclipse is kind to Emacs-users, I think Emacs should be kind to Eclipse-users too, and Windows-users and KDE-users and what have you. Obstinacy doesn't do us any good.
