OK, if it doesn't fit with the package.el flow, let's drop it. Stefan
and Reiner are also not crazy about the idea so it's probably a bad one
:)
I'll make the assistant run on the first Gnus startup. There's several
other issues I raised, but at least this one can be safely ignored.
