git archive no longer being updated?

Subject: git archive no longer being updated?

User-agent: Gnus/5.1008 (Gnus v5.10.8) Emacs/21.4 (berkeley-unix) 
The most recent commit to the git archive HEAD is Dec 27.  I find it a bit
unlikely that no commits have been made since then.

Is it possible that the git mirror is no longer updating properly?
