Um, against whom and why exactly is that being done? (I smell a rat.)
Yes, okay, so DOS and DJGPP don't exactly support shared libraries
(does DXE3 count? doubt it ...). Heck, even the third-party hack that
*does* fully support it isn't really maintained (GCC 4.0.1, 2.04 beta,
ELF-based), and it probably needs its own unexec written from scratch
in order to work.
In short, yes I still use DOS, please do not obsolete it. Why so much
effort to obsolete stuff? I mean, if GNU Emacs is useful and portable,
why break it on purpose?? Remember that FreeDOS + DJGPP are both "free
software".
