Why would GNU/Linux distributors stop using their own well-established
mechanisms for publishing Emacs add-ons?
I don't know what they do now. Would you like to tell me?
If I search for package names
containing "emacs" in the installer for a SuSE distro, for example, I
get a handful of such SuSE-distributed RPMs.
That doesn't have much detail, so I cannot tell if I would consider it
a problem or what.
