I think I misused the word "branch." Here is the command that Gentoo uses:
cvs -q -f -z1 -d ":pserver:address@hidden:/sources/emacs" update -dP
-rEMACS_PRETEST_22_0_92 emacs
So, this is a historical (stale) version, right?
