We only had the problem our workaround addresses when compiling in the Emacs tree. We do not have any problems when compiling in our own environment because we remove all MH-E .elc files before compiling. What do people think about my updating lisp/Makefile.in to remove lisp/mh-e/*.elc if and only if lisp/mh-e/*.el changes? -- Bill Wohler <address@hidden> http://www.newt.com/wohler/ GnuPG ID:610BD9AD Maintainer of comp.mail.mh FAQ and MH-E.
