One feature I like of (do the sign of the cross now) MVC++ is being able
to mouse-1 in the fringe to select the line next to the fringe.
And perhaps mouse-2 could replace the line with the contents of the
clipboard and mouse-3 kill the line.

I think this can be discarded now. Current behaviour of fringe is quite
different (it is the same as inside fringe's window) and I do not think it
is good idea to change it that much.
