oops!!! (sorry - I was talking about e21, but looking at the e20.7
sources).
Of course, `internal-set-lisp-face-attribute' would be the right place
to map from :slant and :weight to the colors.
The user, of course, would have to advise `set-face-attribute'.
This would be, IMO, unfortunate, since advice.el is fairly large and the
task is fairly common (how many fonts out there look different with
weights `light' and `extra-light'?)
