Assuming the display can do Latin-1, I'd bet on it being mangled by
Exchange or similar, per the recent note in etc/PROBLEMS. We'd
probably need the raw message text (uuencoded outside Gnus?) to check,
but as Eli says, C-x = would be the first thing to try.
