cronolio: hi. i found bad translation in grep
cronolio: en : grep --version --> This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it.
cronolio: ru : grep --version --> Это свободное ПО: вы можете продавать и распространять его. (This free software: you can sell and distribute it. (via google translator))
AliciaC: you can't be sure it's the translation in grep that is bad without someone who really knows the language checking it
AliciaC: it can just as easily be google that makes bad translations
cronolio: sory my knowledge in english is not so good, but i'am sure that is told about selling. and i hope this is wrong
AliciaC: oh, it is indeed, although free licenses do allow sale as well
cronolio: sure, but i hope it told about "you can modify it and distribute your modification"
AliciaC: yes it should, maybe you can send a correction of the text to address@hidden ?
cronolio: oo thank you. will try

My version is:
--> This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it.
--> Это свободное ПО: вы можете изменить и перераспространять ее.

Yuri, could you please take a look at Bug#27255, a bug report for GNU grep? Here
is a URL:

https://debbugs.gnu.org/27255

As this is not a bug in grep itself (only its Russian translation), I'm taking
the liberty of closing the bug report. I imagine that the phrase in question
appears in many GNU translation catalogs, and that grep should use what everyone
else uses.
