[Duplicity-talk] Error --excluding '*.lock', but not '**.lock'

Duplicity v.0.7.19.  I get this warning every time I try to run a remote backup:

/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Crypto/Cipher/blockalgo.py:141: FutureWarning:

I also get the following error, any time I try to --exclude '*.lock'  
If I instead --exclude '**.lock' I do not get the error:
