A little terse on that answer... I initially tested with the 3.1.9
version.  The 3.2.0 version does not like having host in both the
command line and the config file.  The 3.1.8 version does not like
having a config file with a missing host entry, even if specified on the
command line.  Like I said, the semantics were going to be driving a bit
of messy adaptation.

On a separate note, the new RC11 is coming out tomorrow.  It will use
pexpect to drive the scp backend and allow password entry from the
console.  When this has proven out, we can look at using pexpect to
drive the ftp backend and take the password off the command line.  Will
just have to see if pexpect is as stable as my testing seems to show.
