The steps are fine.

In some distributions /dev/shm is a symlink to /run/shm, so when the
'enter-chroot' bind the /dev file system, probably /dev/shm appears,
then 'data/hierarchyfs' fails when it tries to create the directory
for /dev/shm.  The recent commit must work now for this case.
