I thought I had posted a link to an article over the
weekend, but it didn't show up and I can't find the
article again.  However it raised a significant
enought point that I want to mention it here.  

For US citizens, a Supreme Court decision from some
time ago ruled that personal information provided to a
third party is not protected by the Fourth Amendment
(Feedom from Search and Seazure).  The point was that
any personal data provided to .NET is exempt from this
protection.
