ReDoomEd.app is a Mac/GNUstep port of a 1993 NeXTSTEP application, DoomEd. DoomEd was id Software's in-house Doom map editor, used to make the levels of the original Doom games [1]. It was developed by John Romero & John Carmack.

John Romero released DoomEd's/doombsp's NeXTSTEP sources in 2015 [3], and they're available for download at archive.org [4].

The DoomEd/doombsp source license is currently unknown. ReDoomEd's sources & DoomEd/doombsp modifications are available under the GNU Affero GPL (v3 or later approved versions).

Building ReDoomEd for GNUstep requires a GNUstep development environment with either of the supported compiler/runtime setups (GCC +gobjc or clang+objc2), and the following GS library versions (or later):
GNUstep Base: v1.24.9
GNUstep GUI & Back: v0.25.0

ReDoomEd's sources & more info are available at:

Cheers,

Josh
