any po <whatver object>
seems to crash gdb, this is nothing specific to above code or problem. 
using gdb 7.5.1 from ports, since the system gdb doesn't like some
DWARF thingies clang produces.

So added NSLog() before the crasher in Frame 1, but then it crashes in
the NSLog line;
