Guys,

My apologies.   I assumed you were referring to the RTF encoding
(slight lack of context here), but Riccardo pointed out that it was
colors in the defaults plist.   My old (bad) habit of not reading back
far enough bites me again.

At any rate... yes, the values in that plist are how they came over
from Cocoa.   I don't recall changing anything in there by hand.
