Like David said in a different thread yesterday, you want to use make
and a GNUmakefile similar to this;

include $(GNUSTEP_MAKEFILES)/common.make

TOOL_NAME = hello

$(TOOL_NAME)_OBJC_FILES = \
       hello.m

include $(GNUSTEP_MAKEFILES)/tool.make
