Semi-OT: LDAP expert?

Hi,

I'm hacking together an LDAP backend for Addresses. My problem is that 
I don't know much about LDAP, and it seems to be *very* hard to find 
useful information. So I'd like to know if there's anyone on this list 
who has worked with LDAP and would be willing to answer a couple of 
questions.
