Out of interest: what happened to all those ol' time 'Steppers? I just googled for Paul F. Kunz and found: http://www.slac.stanford.edu/grp/ek/people/kunz.htm where I read that he developed from a kind of Paulus into a somewhat Saulus: He's giving C++ courses today and even HippoDraw still exists but ... today it's written in C++ and based on Qt ...

And there is als oonly a very short mention of GNUstep on Andrew McCallums personal page: http://www.cs.umass.edu/~mccallum/personal.html ...

What did happen way back then? Was there a big natural disaster that led to a mass extinction of early GNUsteppers?

Wondering, Lars

Hi all,
This is the first release of the GNUstep History article.
I have tried to find the highlights in the development of GNUstep from the early days up till now. I might have missed/ left out things that others feel important. Or included things that you might feel unimportant. That is always the problem with history. But anyway, if you feel something should be added/ deleted let me know.
Happy looking back,
Dennis
