Why not, tools to use depends on the need :-)

gsweb has drawback: it need compilation and for near static page, php isprobably faster... For example, I use SPIP ( http://www.uzine.net/spip-en)

SPIP is really nice and easy to use. If GNUstep were using spip, it would be
much easier to maintain site contents (no CVS needed).

Short characteristics of the SPIP (http://www.spip.org) :

- site is divided into "sections"
- each section can contain subsections
- contents of the site is held in either "sections" or "articles"

- there is site editing interface (for creating and modifying sections and
articles)
- articles are written in plain text with easy wiki-like tags
- articles can have images and attached files
- articles can have multiple editors
- site can have "news" for each section (or you can iignore sections and create
single news page/list)
- you can have either generic section layout or section-specific layout

For example, AgentFarms site was done using SPIP: http://www.agentfarms.net

Adding new webmaster will be as easy as adding new user to the editing interface. What is
required is set of "templates" for the pages.

What would be possible to add to GNUstep pages when created by SPIP?
- collaborative environment for GNUstep documentation writing
- centralised register of GNUstep apps and frameworks, where developers can
edit their enries
- news
- ...

What do you think?
