Well, there doesn't seem to be any way that you could get a SIGSEGV in  
that method. Perhaps you need to reconfigure and compile everything  
from scratch. Particularly since you are having several of these odd  
problems, that could be the case (you might also need to stop any  
GNUstep daemons before you do that).
