strange debugging problems

Hello,

I need to debug GNUMail since it hangs d/l mail and Ludovic needs some
traces badly ;-)

But I am not able to do this: I tried both on OpenBSD and on Linux, I also
made a debug build.

If I start up GNUmail typing run fater issuing debugapp, it stasrts up, puts
up the menu and when it starts drawing the main window it return to the
debugger with a:

program received SIGUSR1, user defined signal1

__syscall_sigsuspend () from /ib/libc.so.6

and now?
