I think it's conceivable though to have a detached context menu which would
change every time you picked a new object; it would be like an inspector
pretty much, except laid out like a menu. The problem I see with it,
however, is that it would require objects to be selected first, before you
could use the menu.

Anyway, MJ Ray's claim that it is in some way impossible or illogical to
have detachable context menus is useless FUD and neither here nor there. You
can't detach transient menus either. Big deal.
