Yes it is a good idea. Needed too. It happens that some applications
must run in a much more controled environment than a virtual desktop.
Some customers need to allow only one application and no access to a
file manager or other application, so the application icon is nasty in
this case. That's also a case where the workspace manager has to be
replaced by that custom application.
On NeXTSTEP/OPENSTEP, it was easy enough to replace the workspace
manager by a given application, but the application icon would still
show.
