problem with the new theme

Folks,

I installed Mr. Roard's new theme, followed the instructions to the 
letter. Everything seems to work right up to the point when I exec an app 
with the new theme bundle loaded (yes, I've done the defaults write bit 
and quadruple verified I'm running a patched -gui (recompiled -gui and 
made sure the code was there in NSApplication.m before doing so)

It loads the theme correctly, then gives,
Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason: NSColor(class) does 
not recognize setColor:forKey:
for any app I try to run. 

What am I doing wrong? What gives?
