Postscript code generation

Hi, 

I have to work on postscript file generation and I'm not very aware of GUI and 
DGS part of GNUstep. Is there already some code or API to generate postcript 
code (for
printing) ?
If not, do you know a good library or API to do this ?
What do you think about PDFLib (http://www.pdflib.org) API (see 
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.pdf.php) or
http://www.fastio.com as a a base API to write this kind of library ?
