GNUstep developers session at FOSDEM?

Subject: GNUstep developers session at FOSDEM?

Being a new developer in GNUstep I think it would be absolutely
wonderful if we could organize a one day (or 1/2 a day) session for
GNUstep developers. I think this is a great opportunity to meet each
other face to face and also to leave FOSDEM with a global view of who we
are, what are our strenghts, how to (better) organize and where we are
in the GNUstep project.

I volunteer to organize the agenda and the list of attendees as well as
arrange room reservation with the FOSDEM guy. A couple of items I think
would be great to cover:

- GNUstep Roadmap: where are we, what are the priorities, who is working
on what, shcedule for next releases, connections with other communities
(Mac OS X/Cocoa, OpenStep?,...)

- GNUstep Foundation and Appkit Libraries: introduction and tutorial
- Same for Project Center/ Gorm
(these 2 should ideally be open to any FOSDEM attendee)

- GNUstep development environment: GNU Obj C compiler and runtime, GDB,
coding conventions, etc... (this one is a personal request to make sure
that I have the best possible practice in place when I'm developping
code for GNUstep)

- GNUstep scripting environment: could cover guile, JIGS (Java), RIGS
(Ruby) and Smalltalk plus the StepTalk scripting Framework.

- Brainstorming sessions about new ideas, trends and objectives.

Other ideas welcome. If such a session is organized please let me know
if you'd like to attend and what topics you'd like to see covered. Don;t
hesitate to volunteer as a speaker as well :-)
