Me, I just dedicate a sound card to Gnu Radio. They're fairly cheap these days. USB sound cards (48KHz) can be had for-I'm also running OS11.4. OS11.4 KDE by default uses pulseaudio as audio-system which might cause some trouble there :), especially if you haven't installed ALSA or OSS. If you change to ALSA direct, you'll have the problem that GNURadio wants the audio hardware exclusively for itself, which collides with KDE notification and (if you use it) speech-dispatcher. My temporary solution is that I use ALSA and have GNURadio use another output of my (furtunately 5.1) soundcard which is not used by anything else. - -S
