Oh my f***ing gawd.  Are they serious?

I hope this stuff got squashed before it made into any final
 rules.

There are a bazillion "non infringing" uses for high-speed DACs, and who
 are they to decide what constitutes a "legitimate" consumer use.

I can think of several criminal ways to use a 50gallon steel barrel.
 I can also think of a googol of non-criminal ways as well.  But, just
 to be safe, we should restrict the sale/distribution/use of 50gallon
 barrels.

I play in model rocketry and pyrotechnics circles. Doing so, I'm getting
 tired of running up against the authoritarians.

Now I find that my playing in scientific disciplines in which 
high-speed digital hardware
 meets the analog world may also be in jeopardy from 
Jack-Booted-Government-Thugs.

I live in Canada, so perhaps I shouldn't give a hoot, but Canada tends 
to slowly adopt
 policy positions very similar to those in the U.S.
